IMPACTING YOUNG LIVES WEBINAR SERIES
Running workshops for kids is fun... but it's not always easy.
Have you ever:
... yelled at your participants when they weren't listening and ultimately ruined everyone's vibe?
... said something you to a child when they were in distress that you felt guilty about later?
... had to break up an argument or fight in your program but felt un qualified to deal with it in a positive way?
You care deeply about how your actions impact young people. You want to show up in the coolest, most confident version of yourself... even when you're overwhelmed. In this webinar I'll be sharing my TOP strategies to help you through some of the most challenging moments in your programs, so you can spend more time on the good stuff.
In this webinar you will learn:
Learn how to prevent behavioural issues from happening at all with simple tweaks to your facilitation style.
Learn the "no-yell" formula for managing conflict and other difficult situations when working with groups of young people.
Guided practice so you leave the workshop with new skills and renewed confidence that you can put into action right away.
Hi! I'm Kat...
I've spent YEARS facilitating dynamic programs to children and youth in just about every setting you can imagine, (think laundromats to private schools to stadiums and everywhere in between)! There isn't much I haven't seen when it comes to things-that-can-go-wrong in this line of work. Managing behavioural issues is the most challenging thing for individuals leading programs for young people. It's messy, unpredictable and for an unprepared facilitator, it can bring forth a lot of personal baggage and guilt.
Join me on this journey of rethinking behavioural management from a preventative and empowerment standpoint. Leave with practical strategies to build your confidence and skill base.
